I Make Mistakes elevates schadenfreude to a new (more pronounceable) level
scha·den·freu·de (n) Pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others.
Mistakes. Everybody makes ‘em. Everybody loves to hear about other people making ‘em. But why can’t we vote on them according to prevalence and severity? Why??
Calm down, imaginary person in my head! At I Make Mistakes, you can anonymously post your flubs, flaps, and fu—uh, faults—and rate those of others. Part group hug, part justcurio.us, I Make Mistakes is a social experiment-meets-confessional. It’s a window into the human psyche. No, wait—it’s a bathroom stall next to the window of the psyche that overlooks the confessional inside the social experiment.
Well, whatever it is, it’s totally anonymous, ad-free, and zero-profit. (And for you web geeks out there, we’ve integrated the OpenID single sign-on (SSO) standard.)
We’re adding several features in the coming weeks, including user moderation (to flag spam posts for deletion), work-safe mode, and sydication of your personal Mistake Threat Level on your website or blog.
